Winter Holidays in South Tyrol – Plose – Dolomites
From the top of the Plose you will experience a breathtaking 360 ° panoramic view of the impressive Dolomite mountains in the south and the Central Alps in the north. Winter sports and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy themselves as much as those guests who like it cozy and relaxing.
The ski area expands mostly over the altitude of 2000 m. Especially families appreciate the well-organized structure of lift installations and slopes. Most of the pistes are oriented southwards which means skiing in the sun for most of the time.
Some facts about the ski resort
The highest top station of a lift installation is at an altitude of 2.505m (chair lift Rossalm), the lowest bottom station lays at 1.067m (Gondola lift Plose). Seven modern lifts take you to the slope you want to ski down.
In between there are more than 40 km of slopes for skiers and snowboarders: from beginner slopes to the large practice slope, from family slopes to the Trametsch, the longest run in South Tyrol. Not to forget the elegant slope Familienabfahrt which lays on Monte Fana/Pfannspitz. The ski resort expands over two of the three summits of the Plose massif, that is the slopes run down on Mount Plose and on Monte Fana/Pfannspitze. There are 20 km of blue slopes, 16 km of red slopes and 6 km of black slopes at the skiers’ disposal. The third Peak, Monte Forca or Gabler, is part of the Natural Park Puez-Odle, that lays within the Dolomites, defined UNESCO World Natural Heritage.
Additionally, on the Plose, there is one of the best snowparks of the region, the Funpark Plose. The perfect place to jump and chill. And, last but not least, the toboggan run RudiRun, with ist 9 km one of the longest toboggan runs in Europe. Not to forget our outstanding winter trails and snow shoe trails below the Dolomites, perfectly suited for an afternoon or a whole day outside.
In addition to the winter sports activities visitors can enjoy sleigh rides and the fantastic view along the paths and on the panoramic terraces!
