Sunrise Hike followed by breakfast
The silence of the early morning hours and the fascinating view of the Dolomites make the sunrise on the Mount Gabler unforgettable. After the ride with the Pfannspitz cable car, we hike in about 45 minutes to the summit of the Mount Gabler at 2,576 m and await the sunrise in front of the unique backdrop of the Peitlerkofel, the Aferer and the Villnöss Geisler as well as the Dolomites further away. Afterwards we descend to the Pfannspitzhütte for a gourmet breakfast.

From the mountain station, after a first short ascent trail no. 7 leads mostly on a level course to the ascent to Mount Gabler. This last section, about 50 m long, requires sure-footedness. The reward on top of Mount Gabler (2,576 m) is all the greater. The panoramic views couldn’t be more beautiful.
The way back follows the same trail. The Mountain Hut Pfannspitzhütte is close to the gondola lift station.
Important: For hikes in the mountains you need proper equipment. Always wear sturdy shoes with non-slip soles, and bring rain protection, a warm jacket, even in summer, and plenty of water with you. Hiking at your own risk.
It is about 22 km from Bressanone to the bottom station of the gondola lift. In Bressanone follow the signs to PLOSE. In the low mountain range you drive through the villages of St. Andrä, St. Jakob, and Afers. When you arrive in Palmschoß, follow a sharp S curve in the direction Skihütte (from Palmschoß another 3 km).
Tip for the sat nav: Enter Berghotel Schlemmer in Skihütte as your destination.

Big pictures on Mount Plose
Legend has it that one upon a time the moon princess fell ill with homesickness in the Dolomites. Thus, a dwarf people covered the mountains with a net of threads of light and the princess was healed. The mountains, however, remained pale mountains.
Floating through the night in the moonlight and then setting foot one after the other. On the way to the summit. Slowly the darkness clears. A new day is dawning. We get to experience it in this magical place.
