WoodyWalk the entertaining family route

This trail full of creative attractions is just right for children and grown-ups.

Whether it is for a short time walking in the mountains or a day excursion with the whole family: WoodyWalk is definitely a perfect destination for those who love to enjoy playing along the way.

The time you will take for the circular route depends on you!  Be aware, there are plenty of things to do and see along the way!

Entering the WoodyWalk

As the first part of the Dolomites Panorama route this path, suitable also for strollers, offers breathtaking views of the Dolomites with Peitlerkofel, Aferer and Villnösser Geisler and the famous mountains of the southern Isarco valley. Along the way there are numerous attractive stations, which provide variety and invite to play and relax. You can, for example, enjoy the the giant sledge Ploseblitz, the bell pond, the Do-not-touch-the-soil-trail, the wooden phone, Peitler’s throne, the climbing tree, the mill wheel, the barefoot trail and and and.

Our tip: There are several water-based attractions, do not forget to take some extra clothes with you.

Mountain Inn Rossalm

For those who are hungry and prefer to be served rather than having a picnic, we suggest to sit down at the mountin inn RossalmRossalm is one of the most beautiful huts in the region . It provides for the physical wellbeing, and offers great entertainment for the youngest ones.

WoodyWalk snake on the Plose

Course

Walking time return trip: 1,5 hours

Height difference in ascent and descent: 100 m

Track: 5 km, course n° 17, 17A, 14

Course: Starting from the cable car take route N° 17, go south-eastwards to the chapel and eastwards to the Plose road. Take the high level path on the right crossing meadows always continuing eastwards. At the bifurcation follow path n° 17A, passing by the old Rossalm, you will reach the higher new Rossalm (2180 m).

To go back you can use the same path or, if you want to get some change, you can walk along an alternative path (n. 14) which will take you back to the gondola lift .
