World Natural Heritages Dolomites

The perfekt viewpoint to admire the beauty of the Dolomites

On June 26, 2009 nine areas of the Dolomites have been listed as UNESCO World Natural Heritage. The Plose is one of the best viewpoints to admire the Area of Puez Geisler and Peitlerkofel/Sas de Putia.

Only about 13 km away from the motorway exit of the A22 Brenner Modena and only 7 km away from Brixen/Bressanone, you can catch the gondola lift Plose. In a few minutes it takes you to a height of 2000 m above sea level where you can enjoy a spectaculaire view of the Peitlerkofel and the peaks of the Geisler / Odle. The amazing mountains make part of the nature reserve Puez Geisler. Together with 8 other areas they have been defined World Natural Heritage.

The Town of Brixen

Brixen in South Tyrol is a compelling symbiosis of Tyrol’s oldest city with pretty narrow streets and a lively city centre, the surrounding romantic holiday villages and the local leisure mountain Plose which is a perfect viewpoint to admire the Dolomites. Brixen is a cultural and natural experience in summer and in winter – it is twice the experience.
