Accessibility for wheelchair users
At the valley station of the Plose cable car there is a large visitors’ car park with two reserved spaces for passengers with disabilities.
The barrier-free entrance and ticket office area can be reached via a level access path, as can the barrier-free toilet. There are also two catering establishments with level access at the bottom station. To enter the gondola cabins, the system is slowed down or stopped for passengers in wheelchairs if necessary. Experienced staff provide assistance to overcome the existing height difference between the floor and the cabin (approx. 35 cm). The cabin door and the inside cabin have a clear width of 58 cm. Wheelchairs should therefore not exceed this width. At the top station of the cable car, the exit is the same way as the entrance. There is a barrier-free toilet in the exit area of the top station. A ramp with a gradient of 15% leads to the adjacent restaurant with sun terrace.
In the Pfannspitze cable car, which went into operation in 2016, wheelchair users can roll into the panorama gondola at ground level. The passage width in the cabins is 84cm.
