A new Gondola Lift
The Plose is one of the most popular hiking areas in South Tyrol. Access to this unique cultural landscape with its grandiose panorama has been made possible since 1986 by the 6-seater gondola lift PLOSE. So that the “old lady” can go into her well-deserved retirement, work on the construction of a new connection have begun on 25 July.
In the first phase, logging work for the new route, which will run largely parallel to the current one, and preparatory work at the stations are on the agenda. This will also affect hiking trail no. 5/17, the mountaincart trail and the Sky Line bike trail.
For the safety of hikers and bikers, the following closures will therefore apply starting from 25 July:
- Hiking trail no. 5/17 in the area between the top station and the bottom station of the gondola lift PLOSE
- The Sky Line – We work hard to reopen it with a diversion in the top section for the MountainBike Testival.
- The Mountaincarts route – The last day of the mountaincarts is 24 July.
The gondola lift PLOSE will remain in operation during the construction work and hiking on Plose, Pfannspitz and Gabler will continue to be a great pleasure.
Look forward with us to the opening of the new gondola lifts PLOSE I and II in December 2023.
