Hiking in the snow – Winter hiking on the Plose
White beauty as far as the eye reaches. More and more people are discovering the exercise in the fresh air even in winter. In order to give this joy of movement one of the most beautiful landscapes we recommend a winter walk on the Plose.
The cable car can carry you up to 2000m. As a guest, thanks to the Brixencard, you will have the opportunity to reach the mountain station Kreuztal free once a day. Here you can watch the hustle and bustle of skiers, freestylers and toboggan riders while enjoying your cappuccino on the terrace.
Kreuztal – Rossalm 2.5 km – 45 minutes
In Kreuztal you can start a short walk to the Rossalm. The path is groomed regularly and leads, slightly uphill, about 2.5 km to one of the most popular huts in the whole Plose area. If that route is too long for your needs, you can always take a horse-drawn sleigh. Who hasn’t ever dreamed of a sleigh ride in the middle of a white wonderland?

Ski Hut – Schatzer hut (3 km – 1 hour)
At the car park of the Ski hut starts the hike towards the Schatzer hut. In the beginning the path goes slightly uphill, then, after about 1 km it reaches the wide snowy hillsides of the Gamper meadows that extend to the Würzjoch. From now on the path goes slightly up and down in the sun. The Dolomites are now closer than ever, offering a magnificent view of the Peitlerkofel and Odle. After reaching the Schatzer hut the guests are rewarded with local specialties and a unique view. On request the hut also offers accommodation.
