Family holidays – Families on the Plose
Playing around in the meadows, building barrages on the small brooks and eating typical omelettes in one of the numerous huts. This is a real holiday for the entire family.
The Plose is the ideal hiking area for families with children. It takes only a few minutes to reach Valcroce with the ropeway and from there you have many different opportunities. Children’s excitement goes up already on the ropeway itself. Afterwards they will enjoy passing by staves and stones, trough meadows and woods, close by brooks, on the way to a hut of your choice.
Families on the Plose – Fun for Kids
WoodyWalk is the best round hiking tour for families. Nan, granddad and mum with Kevin in the children’s push chair, daddy with little Mary on his shoulders, everyone will enjoy himself. This path, adequate for small children, doesn’t only offer amazing views, but also has many attractions on its way as millwheels, wooden telefones, a tree to clime on, Kneipp ponds and many others. WoodyWalk offers variety and entertainment for everybody.
Who is up to it takes their own lunch and stops for a picnic on the meadow. Of course there is always the possibility to have a nice snack in one of the huts and, while mum and dad relax on the terrace, the small ones can enjoy themselves at the playground.
Every Tuesday – Children’s programme
The big mountain adventure already starts in the gondolo lift. In the cablecar you have an amazing look at Brixen from above. It will look really tiny from there. Once arrived on the mountain, you can choose your hike, be it short or long. At the refuge Plosehütte, the mountain inn Rossalm or at the mountain restaurant Bergrestaurant children will find their special program on every Tuesday from 4th July until 07 September.
Do not forget, BrixenCard holders may ride the gondola lift for free once a day.
New: Geocaching
Have you ever heard of Geocaching? And, what is more important: Do you want to go on a hunting game? Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices and then share their experiences online. So all you need besides a GPS device is mountain equipment, approximately 5 hours of time and a share of curiosity and immagination to find all the caches.
