Establishments in St. Andrä
In the sunniest part of the Isarco valley there are the wide highlands of the Plose. On its hillside there is the resort St. Andrä (980m) with its surrounding villages Mellaun, Klerant, Karnol and St. Leonhard. The mild climate, the wide-sweeping meadows and forests, wonderful walks and a direct connection to Plose make it the ideal holiday destination for the best days of the year.
The base station of the gondola Plose is slightly outside of St. Andrä and takes comfortably takes visitors to the top of the mountain. At the top station at 2,000 meters above sea level there is the small village Kreuztal, central point for all winter sports enthusiasts and walkers.
At the base station there is an easy slope where children can make their first experiences. In winter, the Trametsch, the longest run in South Tyrol, takes you directly into the village St. Andrä.
St. Andrä is located 7 km from Brixen and is well served by public transport. Many hotel companies are taking part in the action Brixen Card that ensures guests the free use of public transport every day and a free ride by cable car to the Plose.
